THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
