THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
