The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 Who avoid vain talk; 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 Those who desire to go beyond such limits they commit transgression, 7 those who are faithful to their trusts and promises; 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 They are the inheritors. 10 who will inherit Paradise; they shall live there for ever. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 then We placed him as a drop of fluid in a safe place, 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 and then, behold! you shall be raised from the dead on Resurrection Day. 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 And upon them and on ships you are carried. 22
