Hizb 46
< random >
And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 Recall what time he ran away unto a laden ship. 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 Then he was swallowed by a large fish as he was worthy of blame. 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 He would certainly have tarried in its belly to the day when they are raised. 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Is it not that they say, from their own invention, 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 They have said that there is a relationship between Him and the jinn. The jinn certainly know that they will all be brought to suffer torment. 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire. 163 And there is none of us but has an assigned place, 164 Lo! we, even we are they who set the ranks, 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 What though they would say, 167 "If we had had with us a Book like that of the people of old, 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 Our Word had already preceded Our worshipers, the Messengers, 171 that they shall certainly be succoured, 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 What! would they then hasten on Our chastisement? 176 So when it does descend in their courtyards so what an evil morning it will be for those who were warned! 177 And leave them for a time. 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
