We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And showed them the right path. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
