Let the dead earth be a Sign for them. We gave it life and produced from it grain whereof they eat. 33 and produced therein grains from which they eat and established therein gardens of palms trees and vineyards and have made streams flow therein 34 That they may eat of the fruit thereof; and their hands worked it not. Will they not, therefore, give thanks? 35 Glory be to Him Who created all the sexual pairs, of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves, and of that which they know not! 36 And there is a sign in the night for them. We strip off the day from it and they are left in darkness, 37 And the sun runs on its fixed course for a term (appointed). That is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. 38 And We have appointed positions for the moon till it returns like an old branch of the date palm. 39 It is not for the sun to catch up with the moon, nor does the night surpass the day; and each one of them floats in its orbit. 40 how We carried them and their offspring inside the laden Ark 41 and We have created for them the like of it whereon they ride; 42 And if We please, We can drown them, then there shall be no succorer for them, nor shall they be rescued 43 But (by) mercy from Us and for enjoyment till a time. 44 When they are told, "guard yourselves against what is before you and what is behind you, in order that you may be shown mercy," [they turn away]. 45 None of the signs of their Lord ever comes to them but they turn away from it. 46 And when it is said unto them: expend of that wherewith Allah hath provided you, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: shall we feed those whom God Himself would have fed, if He listed? Ye are in naught else than error manifest. 47 And they say: When will this threat come to pass, if you are truthful? 48 [And they are unaware that] nothing awaits them beyond a single blast [of God's punishment,] which will overtake them while they are still arguing - [against resurrection]: 49 So they shall not be able to make a bequest, nor shall they return to their families. 50
