And indeed We rescued the Descendants of Israel from a disgraceful torture. 30 from Pharaoh who was most prominent among the prodigals. 31 And assuredly We elected them with knowledge above the worlds. 32 and sent them revelations of which some were a clear trial for them. 33 Even then they say: 34 'There is nothing but our first death; we shall not be revived. 35 Bring back to life our fathers if what you say is true". 36 Are they better than the tribe of Tubba (name of a Yemenite tribal chief) and those who lived before them? We destroyed them. They were criminals. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is in-between the twain sporting. 38 We created them in nothing else except the truth. But most do not know. 39 Verily the Day of sorting out is the time appointed for all of them,- 40 A Day whereon a friend shall not avail a friend at all, nor shall they be helped. 41 save those upon whom God will have bestowed His grace and mercy: for, verily, He alone is almighty, a dispenser of grace. 42
