Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Koran! 1 But nay - they deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst; and so these deniers of the truth are saying, "A strange thing is this! 2 What, when we are dead and turned to dust? That indeed would be an unlikely return' 3 (Thus do they imagine, although) We know well what the earth takes away from them. With Us is a Record that preserves everything. 4 But they deny the Truth when it comes to them: so they are in a confused state. 5 Have they not looked at the sky above them, how We have fashioned and adorned it, and it has no flaw? 6 And the earth - We have spread it wide, and set upon it mountains firm, and caused it to bring forth plants of all beauteous kinds, 7 A vision and a reminder for every penitent slave. 8 And We send down from the cloud water abounding in good, then We cause to grow thereby gardens and the grain that is reaped, 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered spathes; 10 as sustenance for My servants. With this We have brought the dead land back to life. Thus, will also be your resurrection. 11 The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud 12 and Aad, Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot, 13 and the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba': every one denied their messengers, and so My warning came true. 14 Are We then wearied with the first creation? Aye! they are in dubiety regarding a new creation. 15
