And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein. 16 When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left. 17 each word he utters shall be noted down by a vigilant guardian. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth; that is what you were trying to escape. 19 and [in the end] the trumpet [of resurrection] will be blown: that will be the Day of a warning fulfilled. 20 Everyone has come, each attended by one who will drive him on, and another who will bear witness. 21 (And unto the evil-doer it is said): Thou wast in heedlessness of this. Now We have removed from thee thy covering, and piercing is thy sight this day. 22 And his comrade shall say, 'This is what I have, made ready.' 23 (And it is said): Do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate, 24 "Every obstructor of good, transgressor, and the sceptic, 25 "Who set up another god beside Allah: Throw him into a severe penalty." 26 ۞ His accompanying devil said, “Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he himself was in extreme error.” 27 He (Allah) will say: 'Do not dispute before Me. I sent you a warning beforehand. 28 No word is to be exchanged in My presence. I am not unjust to My servants". 29
