(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 while you make merry? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
