Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I swear by the setting places of the stars. 75 and that is a mighty oath, if you but knew 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 Which none shall touch but those who are clean: 79 It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 And have ye made it your livelihood that ye should declare it false? 82 So why was it not, when the soul reaches up to the throat, – 83 And ye are at that moment looking 84 (And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us) 85 Wherefore then, if ye are not to be requited 86 do you not restore his soul, if you are truthful? 87 And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah, 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 And if he be of the Companions of the Right Hand, 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 But if he was of the deniers [who were] astray, 92 its dwelling will be boiling water 93 And roasting in a Blaze. 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Great Lord. 96

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
