۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 In a Book kept hidden 78 which none can touch except the purified. 79 It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 and your portion in it is simply that you denounce it as false? 82 So why was it not, when the soul reaches up to the throat, 83 and you are [at that moment] looking on [helplessly] -- 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 Then why do you not, if you are exempt from the reckoning and recompense (punishment, etc.) 86 do you not restore his soul, if you are truthful? 87 Then if he be of the broughtnigh. 88 Then is relief, and flowers and Gardens of peace. 89 And if he be of the fellows on the right hand, 90 he will be greeted with, "Peace be to you," by those on the Right. 91 And if he be of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong, 92 then he will be served boiling water, 93 And burning in Hell-Fire. 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 Therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) proclaim the Purity of the name of your Lord, the Greatest. 96
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah). Sent down in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
