1/2 Hizb 54
< random >
۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 And indeed, it is an oath - if you could know - [most] great. 76 That this is indeed the glorious Qur'an 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 Only they can reach it who are clean (of mind). 79 It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Is it this Statement that ye scorn, 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 and you are watching at that time 84 (And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us) 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 Call back the soul, if ye are true (in the claim of independence)? 87 Then if he is one of those drawn nigh (to Allah), 88 (There is for him) rest and provision, and a Garden of delights (Paradise). 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 'Peace be upon thee, Companion of the Right!' 91 But if one happens to be of those who are wont to call the truth a lie, and [thus] go astray, 92 then he will be served boiling water, 93 and the heat of a blazing fire! 94 That indeed is the absolute truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah). Sent down in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
