Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ The Inevitable! (Day of Judgment). 1 And what is that indubitable event? 2 And what will make you realize what the Inevitable Hour is? 3 The Thamud and 'Ad denied the consequential calamity. 4 So as for Thamud, they were destroyed by the overpowering [blast]. 5 and as for the 'Ad - they were destroyed by a storm wind furiously raging, 6 Which He sent to assail them for seven nights and eight days running. You should have seen the people prostrate like the decayed trunks of date-palm trees. 7 Do you then see of them one remaining? 8 And Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and those before him, and the cities overthrown [the towns of the people of [Lout (Lot)] committed sin, 9 and rebelled against their Sustainer's apostles: and so He took them to task with a punishing grasp exceedingly severe! 10 When the flood rose high and covered the whole land, We carried you in the Ark. 11 So that We may make it a reminder to you, and that the retaining ear might retain it. 12 When the single blast is sounded on the trumpet, 13 And the earth and the mountains shall be removed from their places, and crushed with a single crushing, 14 On that Day shall the (Great) Event come to pass. 15 and heaven shall be split, for upon that day it shall be very frail, 16 And the angels shall be on the borders thereof; and on that Day eight shall bear over them the Throne of thy Lord. 17 That Day, you will be exhibited [for judgement]; not hidden among you is anything concealed. 18 Then he that will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Ah here! Read ye my Record! 19 Verily I was sure that I would be handed over my account.” 20 so he will live in a state of Bliss 21 In a lofty Garden 22 its fruits are near. 23 “Eat and drink with pleasure the reward of what you sent ahead, in the past days.” 24 But he who is given his record in his left hand will say, "If only I had never been given my Record 25 And had not known what is my account. 26 Oh, would that it had been the ending! 27 My wealth has not helped me a thing 28 "My power has perished from me!"... 29 (The stern command will say): "Seize ye him, and bind ye him, 30 And then expose him to hell-fire 31 Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him." 32 for he did not believe in Almighty God, 33 And urged not on the feeding of the wretched. 34 Therefor hath he no lover here this day, 35 Nor any food except filth from the washing of wounds, 36 that none but sinners eat' 37

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
