Nay! By the moon 32 By the night when it departs. 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 it is a warning to man, 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 concerning the sinners, 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 Until the certainty had come upon us. 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
