The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 And the promised day, 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 when they were seated around it 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
