Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 till a known term decreed? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
