Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 Illustrious scribes 11 They know what you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
