The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They are devising guile, 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
