The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
