Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Certainly the news of the calamity that will overwhelm has come to you! 1 Many a face will be disgraced on that day. 2 Toiling, weary, 3 Scorched by burning fire, 4 that is fueled from a tremendously hot fountain, 5 They shall have no food but of thorns, 6 Neither nourishing nor banishing hunger. 7 (Other) faces, that Day, will be joyful, 8 and pleased with the result of their deeds in the past. 9 In a lofty garden, 10 In which they will not hear any lewd speech. 11 Countless springs will flow therein, 12 Within it are couches raised high 13 well arranged goblets, 14 cushions ranged, 15 and rich carpets levelled out. 16 What, do they not consider how the camel was created, 17 And at the sky - how it is raised? 18 And at the mountains - how they are erected? 19 And at the Earth, how it is spread out? 20 So, [O Prophet] exhort them: your task is only to exhort, 21 thou art not charged to oversee them. 22 But whosoever will turn back and disbelieve 23 Allah will punish him with a mighty Punishment, 24 To Us they will all return. 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
