The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 in columns outstretched. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
