The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 roaring over the hearts 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 in columns outstretched. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
