When We substitute one revelation for another,- and Allah knows best what He reveals (in stages),- they say, "Thou art but a forger": but most of them understand not. 101 Say, [O Muhammad], "The Pure Spirit has brought it down from your Lord in truth to make firm those who believe and as guidance and good tidings to the Muslims." 102 Surely We know well that they say about you: "It is only a human being who teaches him," (notwithstanding) that he whom they maliciously hint at is of foreign tongue, while this (Qur'an) is plain Arabic speech. 103 Those who disbelieve in the verses of Allah, Allah does not guide them for them is a painful punishment. 104 They only forge falsehood, who believe not in the signs of God, and those -- they are the liars. 105 Whoever disbelieved in Allah after his belief, except him who is forced thereto and whose heart is at rest with Faith but such as open their breasts to disbelief, on them is wrath from Allah, and theirs will be a great torment. 106 That is because they have chosen the life of the world rather than the Hereafter, and because Allah guideth not the disbelieving folk. 107 Those are they whose hearts, ears, and eyes Allah has sealed up, and they take no heed. 108 In the Everlasting Life, they shall assuredly be the losers. 109 ۞ Those who left their homes for the cause of God after they had been persecuted, strove hard for His cause and exercised patience should know (even though they had verbally renounced their faith) that your Lord is All-forgiving and All-merciful. 110
