The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Sin-Mim. 1 These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Quran, which was promised by Allah in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear]. 2 Belike thou shalt kill thyself with grief because they become not believers. 3 Had We so willed, We could have sent down unto them a message from the skies, so that their necks would [be forced to] bow down before it in humility. 4 And there does not come to them a new reminder from the Beneficent Allah but they turn aside from it. 5 They will soon come to know the truth of that which they have been scoffing at. 6 Do they not look at the earth,- how many noble things of all kinds We have produced therein? 7 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 8 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
