The people of Lot accused the messengers of lies. 160 when their brother Lot said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 161 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 162 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 163 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 164 “What! Among all the creatures, you commit the immoral acts with men?” 165 “And leave the wives your Lord has created for you? In fact you are people who exceed the limits.” 166 They said, "If you do not desist, Lot, you will surely be banished." 167 He said: "I do detest your doings." 168 (And prayed:) "O Lord, save me and my family from what they do." 169 So We saved him and his household, every one, 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 We destroyed the others 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
