Truly, it is the sending of the Lord of the Worlds. 192 brought down by the Faithful Spirit 193 upon your heart (Prophet Muhammad), in order to be one of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples. 196 And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel? 197 Had We revealed it to a non-Arab 198 who would have read it to them, they (pagans) would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals. 200 they will not believe in it till they behold the grievous suffering 201 It shall come unto them on a sudden, and they shall not perceive. 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 204 Therefore observe, that if We give them some comforts for some years, – 205 and then the chastisement of which they were being warned were to come upon them, 206 none of their luxuries will be able to save them from the torment? 207 Never have We destroyed a habitation till We had sent admonishers to them 208 For reminder, for We never were oppressors. 209 The satans did not bring down this (Clear Book), 210 It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, 211 Verily far from hearing are they removed. 212 So do not call on any deity besides God, lest you incur His punishment. 213 And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. 214 and spread the wings of thy tenderness over all of the believers who may follow thee; 215 Then if they disobey thee, say: "I am free (of responsibility) for what ye do!" 216 And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, 217 who sees thee when thou standest 218 and observes your movements among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Surely, He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 They listen eagerly, but most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 Do you not see how they wander aimlessly in every valley, 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believed and did good deeds, and profusely remembered Allah, and took revenge after they had been wronged*; and soon the unjust will come to know upon which side they will be overturned**. (* The Muslim poets who praise Allah and the Prophet. ** The disbelievers will be punished.) 227
