Seest thou one who turns back, 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
