Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
The craving for ever-greater worldly gains and to excel others in that regard keeps you occupied 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 Nay! You shall come to know! 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 Yes certainly, if you had believed with certainty, you would not have craved for wealth. 5 that you shall surely see Hell? 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure. 8
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
