Hizb 46

Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 And then they cast lots, and he was the one who lost; 141 then the whale swallowed him down, and he blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ We cast him out of the fish unto dry land and he was sick. 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 "Allah has begotten off spring or children (i.e. angels are the daughters of Allah)?" And, verily, they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Or have you received some clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 They have said that there is a relationship between Him and the jinn. The jinn certainly know that they will all be brought to suffer torment. 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) 161 Can lead (any) into temptation concerning Allah, 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 And the angels say, “Each one of us has an appointed known position.” 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 We glorify God." 166 And there were those who said, 167 “If we had some advice from the earlier generations,” 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 And (then) see them, so they too shall see. 175 What! would they then hasten on Our chastisement? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 And leave them for a time. 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 182
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
