The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
