The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
Almighty God's Truth.
