AND CALL to mind Our servant Job, [how it was] when he cried out to his Sustainer, "Behold, Satan has afflicted me with [utter] weariness and suffering!" 41 'Stamp thy foot! This is a laving-place cool, and a drink.' 42 And We gave him (back) his family, and along with them the like thereof, as a Mercy from Us, and a Reminder for those who understand. 43 [We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. 44 And make mention of Our bondmen, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of parts and vision. 45 Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing, i.e.) the remembrance of the home [in the Hereafter and they used to make the people remember it, and also they used to invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the Hereafter]. 46 Indeed with Us they are among the chosen, the excellent. 47 Also, remember our worshipers Ishmael, Elisha, and ThulKifl, they are among the good. 48 This is an admonition, and verily for the God-fearing is a happy retreat: 49 the Gardens of Eden whose gates shall be open to them, 50 Wherein, reclining, they call for plenteous fruit and cool drink (that is) therein. 51 ۞ and wherein there shall be with them well-matched, bashful mates. 52 All this is what you are promised for the Day of Judgement. 53 This is surely Our provision never-ending. 54 This is so! And for the Taghun (transgressors, disobedient to Allah and His Messenger - disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, criminals, etc.), will be an evil final return (Fire), 55 They shall roast in (the Fire) of Gehenna, an evil cradling. 56 This, [then, for them] so let them taste it: burning despair and ice-cold darkness 57 and other such torments. 58 'This is a troop rushing in with you; there is no Welcome for them; they shall roast in the Fire.' 59 They will say nay! it is ye, for whom there is no welcome: it is ye who have brought it upon us. Evil shall be the resting-place. 60 They say: Our Lord! Whoever did prepare this for us, oh, give him double portion of the Fire! 61 And they will say: "What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones? 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or is it that [they are here, and] our eyes have missed them?" 63 Verily all this is true. This is how the inmates of the Fire will dispute among themselves. 64
