۞ God says, "Do not worship two gods. There is only One God. Have fear of Me". 51 And to Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth, and to Him is [due] worship constantly. Then is it other than Allah that you fear? 52 Whatever favor you have is from Allah. Whenever you are afflicted you groan to Him. 53 Yet, when He removes the distress from you, behold! some of you turn to other gods to join with their Lord- 54 So that they be ungrateful for what We have given them; then enjoy yourselves; for soon will you know 55 And they assign a portion of that which We have provided them unto what they know not (false deities). By Allah, you shall certainly be questioned about (all) that you used to fabricate. 56 And they assign to God daughters; glory be to Him! -- and they have their desire; 57 When the glad news of the birth of their daughter is brought to them, their faces turn gloomy and black with anger. 58 Because of the evil of the good news he hides himself from people, (pondering) whether he will keep her and be humiliated, or trample her into the dust. Evil is their judgement! 59 [Thus it is that] the attribute of evil applies to all who do not believe in the life to come - whereas unto God applies the attribute of all that is most sublime: for He alone is almighty, truly wise! 60
