A large group from the earlier generations. 39 And a crowd of the later. 40 And those on the left hand: What of those on the left hand? 41 In fierce hot wind and boiling water, 42 And shadow of black smoke, 43 neither cool, neither goodly; 44 They were endowed with good things 45 and persisted in the great sin 46 And they used to say, "What! when we die and become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be raised up again?- 47 "And also our forefathers?" 48 Say: "Yea, those of old and those of later times, 49 Are going to be assembled on the appointed time of a Day Known. 50 Then you people who had gone astray and rejected the Truth 51 shall eat the fruit of the tree of Zaqqum, 52 And fill (your) bellies with it; 53 and shall drink boiling water on top of that. 54 Lapping it up like female camels raging of thirst with disease." 55 Such shall be your hospitality on the Day of Recompense. 56 We have created you: why then do you not accept the truth? 57 Have you thought about what (sperm) you ejaculate? 58 Do you yourselves create it, or are We the Creators? 59 It is We who have ordained death for all of you; and We cannot be prevented 60 From replacing you with others or raising you in a way you do not know. 61 And indeed, you have already known the first form of creation (i.e. the creation of Adam), why then do you not remember or take heed? 62 Behold! that which ye sow. 63 Do you give it its increase, or are We the giver? 64 If We will, We would make it broken stubble and you would remain wondering, 65 Lo! we are laden with debt! 66 Surely, we have been deprived (of the benefits)". 67 Have you thought about the water you drink? 68 Is it you who cause it to come down from the clouds - or are We the cause of its coming down? 69 Were it Our Will, We could make it salt (and unpalatable): then why do ye not give thanks? 70 Have you thought about the fire that you kindle. 71 Did you produce the tree that serves as fuel or do We? 72 We have made it to be a reminder and a benefit for the wayfarers. 73 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 74

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
