Al-Jinn 2 of 2
Say (unto them, O Muhammad): I pray unto Allah only, and ascribe unto Him no partner. 20 Say: “Surely neither it is in my power to hurt you nor to bring you to the Right Way.” 21 Say, “No one will ever save me from Allah, and other than Him, I will not find any refuge.” 22 (It is) only a delivering (of communications) from Allah and His messages; and whoever disobeys Allah and His Apostle surely he shall have the fire of hell to abide therein for a long time. 23 Until they see what they are promised, when they will understand who is weaker in aid and poorer in numbers. 24 Say thou: I know not whether that which ye are promised is nigh, or whether my Lord hath appointed for it a distant term. 25 [He is] Knower of the unseen, and He does not disclose His [knowledge of the] unseen to anyone 26 Save unto an apostle chosen. And then He causeth to go before him and behind him a guard. 27 (Messenger) so that He would know that the Messengers have conveyed the message of their Lord. He encompasses all that is with them and He keeps a precise account of all things". 28
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
