NAY, but consider the moon! 32 By the night when it departs. 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 it is a warning to man, 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
God the Almighty always says the truth.
