The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness, 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 by the night when it approaches 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 And your companion is not gone mad. 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
