He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned (his) back, 1 Because the blind man came unto him. 2 And what could let you know? Perhaps he (comes to hear you) to be purified. 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him? 4 Yet you pay attention 5 Unto him thou attendest. 6 Though it is not your concern if he should not grow (in fulness). 7 And for him who came to you striving, 8 And is also fearful (of God), 9 you pay no heed to him. 10 Nay, but verily it is an Admonishment, 11 So let whosoever will pay heed to it, 12 It is set down on honoured pages, 13 exalted, purified, 14 (Written) by the hands of scribes- 15 Honourable and Virtuous. 16 Cursed be man! how ungrateful is he! 17 From what has God created him? 18 Out of a drop of sperm He creates him, and thereupon determines his nature, 19 and then makes it easy for him to go through life; 20 Then He caused him to die and made him to be buried. 21 then, He will raise him when He wills. 22 By no means he performed not that which He had commanded him. 23 Then let mankind look at his food - 24 We poured out the rains abundantly, 25 Then We split the earth properly. 26 We make the grain grow out of it, 27 grapes, vegetables, 28 And olives and date palms, 29 and gardens dense with foliage, 30 and fruits and fodder 31 For use and convenience to you and your cattle. 32 When the trumpet sounds, 33 on that Day each person will flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father, 35 wife and sons, 36 Everyman, that Day, will have enough to make him careless of others. 37 Some faces on that Day shall be beaming with happiness, 38 Laughing and full of joy, 39 whereas some faces will be covered with dust 40 and veiled with darkness. 41 Those, they are the unbelievers, the immoral. 42
True are the words of God the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
