Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 to burn therein. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
