Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 Who know what you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
