The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven is sundered. 1 And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] 2 when earth is stretched out 3 and casts out what is within it and is emptied, 4 and hearkens to the command of its Lord, doing what it should. 5 Human being, you strive hard to get closer to your Lord, and so you will certainly receive the recompense (of your deeds). 6 And he who is given his ledger in his right hand 7 shall have an easy reckoning 8 And will return unto his folk in joy. 9 But as for him whose record shall be given to him behind his back; 10 Soon will he cry for perdition, 11 and roast at the Blaze. 12 Verily he was among his people joyous. 13 thinking he would never revert (to Us). 14 But yes! Indeed, his Lord was ever of him, Seeing. 15 I swear by the glow of sunset, 16 and the night and what it envelops 17 And by the moon when it is at the full, 18 Surely ye shall ride layer upon layer. 19 What is the matter with them, that they do not believe 20 and when the Koran is recited to them that they do not prostrate! ۩ 21 Yea those who disbelieve belie. 22 And Allah knoweth best what they are hiding. 23 Wherefore announce thou unto them a torment afflictive. 24 Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds. For them is a reward uninterrupted. 25
