The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 Createth man from a clot. 2 Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 Teacheth man that which he knew not. 5 Nay! man is most surely inordinate, 6 For he thinks he is sufficient in himself. 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 Have you seen the one who prohibits 9 a servant of Ours from prayer? 10 Bethinkest thou, if he is himself guided, 11 Or he commandeth piety? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 Does he not know that God observes all things? 14 And yet indeed if he does not desist We shall drag him by the forelock, 15 A forelock that lies, is sinful. 16 So let him now call his gang! 17 We too would summon the braves of the army. 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
