The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the Crushing Fire. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 Verily it will close in upon them, 8 In extended columns. 9
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
