The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 And found you deeply engrossed in His love, so directed you? 7 And did He not find you in want, and then enriched you? 8 Therefor the orphan oppress not, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
