It is He who sends down water from the skies; you drink thereof, and thereof [drink] the plants upon which you pasture your beasts; 10 He groweth for you thereby the corn and olives and date-palms and grapes and all kinds of fruit. Verily therein is a sign for a people who ponder. 11 He has made subject to you the Night and the Day; the sun and the moon; and the stars are in subjection by His Command: verily in this are Signs for men who are wise. 12 And what He has created in the earth of varied hues most surely there is a sign in this for a people who are mindful. 13 And it is He who subjected the sea for you to eat from it tender meat and to extract from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships plowing through it, and [He subjected it] that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful. 14 And He placed mountains as anchors in the earth so that it may not shake along with you, and streams and roads for you to find course. 15 and He has set other landmarks in the earth. And by the stars too do people find their way. 16 Is there one who createth like unto one who createth not? Will ye not then be admonished? 17 If you count God's blessing, you will never number it; surely God is All-forgiving, All-compassionate. 18 Allah knows all that you conceal and all that you disclose. 19 And those they call upon, apart from God, created nothing, and themselves are created, 20 dead, not alive; and are not aware when they shall be raised. 21
