We indeed created man; and We know what his soul whispers within him, and We are nearer to him than the jugular vein. 16 When the two receiving angels receive from him, one seated on the right and one on the left. 17 He does not utter a single word, without a ready recorder seated next to him. 18 And the stupor of death will bring Truth (before his eyes): "This was the thing which thou wast trying to escape!" 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown: that will be the Day whereof Warning (had been given). 20 And there shall come every soul therewith shall be a driver and a witness. 21 (It will be said:) "Thou wast heedless of this; now have We removed thy veil, and sharp is thy sight this Day!" 22 And his companion will say: this is that which with me is ready. 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter, 25 and an idol worshipper. Throw him into severe torment". 26 ۞ His companion will say: "O Lord, I did not lead him to wickedness, but he was himself far astray." 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 The Word cannot be changed with Me; I do not wrong My worshipers' 29
