Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 noble scribes, 11 who know what you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
