Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 and to this, behold, he [himself] bears witness indeed: 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 And the secrets of the hearts exposed, 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
