Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 Of no avail shall be his wealth, nor what he has acquired. 2 He shall soon burn in fire that flames, 3 And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. 4 Around her neck will be a rope of palm fibre. 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
