Hizb 46
< random >
So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 And We made a gourd tree grow over him. 146 We sent him as a messenger to a hundred thousand people or more, 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 Is it not of their own calumny that they say, 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 Will you not then reflect? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 God is too glorious to be described as they describe Him 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 for, verily, neither you [blasphemers] nor the objects of your worship 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 except him who shall roast in Hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 They say, 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 Yet now (that it has come) they refuse to believe in it; but they will come to know soon. 170 Already Our Word has preceded to Our servants, the Envoys; 171 That they would be helped, 172 And that certainly Our armies will be victorious. 173 Therefore turn away from them till a time, 174 and watch them. They, too, will watch. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our punishment? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 So turn thou from them for a while, 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Glory be to your Lord: the Lord of Glory is far above what they attribute to Him. 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
